I’m so glad you’re here! At Rising Phoenix Yoga & Healing, my mission is to provide yoga, sound journeys, and wellness in a non-judgmental and supported space. Empowering students to create a life of gratitude, mindfulness, and healing through the exploration of self expression, reflection, and connection. I believe by developing a deeper connection with our bodies we can live a life of healing and self-love, and in doing so, build a deeper connection with others.

My yoga story

Becky started practicing yoga to add variety to her physical fitness regimen but she quickly realized yoga is so much more than physical postures. Showing up on her mat helped her learn to connect with her emotions, ease her anxiety, quiet her mind, and be more present, on and off her mat. It was then when she realized how important it is to develop a self-care practice, not just for physical fitness but also for mental and emotional well being. She started teaching yoga shortly after graduating from her 200 hour teacher training in the spring of 2022. She became a yoga teacher because she’s passionate about helping people develop and/or strengthen their own self-care practice through movement and mindfulness. As her yoga practice and teachings continued, she became aware of the need for deep healing, not just for herself, but also so many others searching for peace and well-being. With this awareness, and the fact that she loves learning, she has received training in a variety of different healing modalities to enhance student’s yoga practices. She holds certificates in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Mindfulness/Mindful Meditation, Sound Healing, Grief Yoga®️, Energy Medicine Yoga®️, and a variety of different yoga styles. She feels by working with our body's energy systems through movement, breath, and sound, we can better communicate with and develop a deeper connection with our bodies.

(Although walk-ins are welcome, I highly recommend you pre-register for each session at least 2 hours before session start time. If there are no students registered, the session may not be held)
Gentle Yoga-Thursdays @ 10am
This Gentle Flow class begins with a short meditation followed by gentle stretching and flow style movements, pausing in our postures, using breath and movement to focus on and honor what our body needs.

Chair Yoga-every other Tuesday @ 11am
This Chair yoga class is a gentle form of yoga done while seated or using a chair as support. This class is suitable for all levels of yoga experience and is accessible for students with mobility concerns.

Inner Peace Yoga-2nd Saturday of every month-10-11am (no class April 12)
During this practice we'll use movement, breath, and sound (vocalization) to release whatever it is we may be struggling with, whether that be anxiety, grief, anger, sadness, or maybe you just want to let off some steam. By allowing our emotions to flow through our bodies and releasing what we need to release, we can free ourselves from what is making us feel stuck, stuck in a looping thought or lifestyle pattern. By releasing our struggle, we make more room for joy, and what makes our soul happy.

Sound Journey Sessions (no yoga)
Sound Journey @ The Studio, Friday, April 11, 5:30-6:15pm
Join me as I take you on a journey of healing vibrational sound. We'll invite deep relaxation into our bodies by using our breath to soften any tension our bodies are holding and, if desired, using props to support our bodies. By welcoming in deep relaxation, we allow our bodies to return to a more balanced state of Being. This session will be at the Rising Phoenix Yoga & Healing Studio.

Sound Journey at the Opera House, Saturday, May 3, 2025, 3-4pm
Join me for a one of a kind experience! An immersive Sound Journey in the beautiful, historic Amherst Opera House! I'll fill the beautiful space with healing vibrational sounds using crystal singing bowls, metal Tibetan bowls, chimes, drums, and a gong, welcoming you into deep relaxation, instilling a sense of peace and calm, physically, mentally, and emotionally. You are welcome to lie down, sit, or stand during the sound journey.
Please bring blankets and pillows (yoga mat if you would like) and whatever else you need to be comfy. I will have a limited number of yoga mats available to use.
This special event is $30 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Amherst Opera House.
Float Meditation & Sound Journey, Sunday, June 29, 10am-12pm
Join me and Angela Zubella from Intentional Wellness Coaching for a very unique healing and meditative experience! Angella will guide you through meditation while I surround you in the healing vibrations of sound, all while you float on the water of a quiet, crystal clear lake.
Bring your own flotation device (kayak, raft, tube, SUP, etc.), a blanket, and anything else you would like to bring for your comfort.

Nature's Embrace Meditation & Sound Journey, Sunday, July 13, 10am-12:30pm
Being in nature has so many benefits! Studies have shown that it helps strengthen our mental health, reducing our cortisol levels, heart rate, muscle tension, and overall stress levels. It improves sleep quality and eases inflammation and pain. It can help give us clarity and a fresh perspective by strengthening our mental capacities such as cognition, attention, and focus. It can also help us feel connected, not just with nature but also with each other. It just gives us an overall sense of joy and happiness! 🥰
Join me as we go on a journey of discovery and awareness. We’ll begin with some gentle warm-up stretches, followed by a walking meditation, meandering between the shore of Silver Lake and a lovingly restored prairie, taking in all the sights and sounds of nature. We’ll transition our walking meditation onto a trail through the forest, bringing awareness to the changing environment from open prairie to a tree canopy. We’ll pause along the way, taking in all that nature has to offer. Following our meditation, we’ll gather in an open area at the center of all that we just explored, where we’ll settle in for a Sound Journey, blending the sounds of nature with the soothing sounds of Crystal singing bowls, chimes, and gongs.
I’m so excited to share my love of nature and this experience with you!
*Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to lie or sit on, as well as anything else you desire for your comfort during our warm-up and sound journey, such as a pillow and/or additional blanket, sunscreen, bug spray (just in case). Please remember to bring water!
*Wear good walking/hiking shoes and dress comfortably. Our walking meditation is approximately 1.5-2.0 miles. There are hills and some uneven terrain.
*Our Meditation & Sound Journey experience will last approximately 2 ½ hours, depending on time spent during our walking meditation.
*Cost is $55 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Jorgens Park Preserve so they can continue to make this space wonderful for everyone to enjoy!
Yoga & Sound Journey Sessions
Release & Restore Yoga & Sound Journey, Friday, April 25, 5:30-7pm
Join me as we go on a journey of self discovery, inner connection, and deep relaxation. I'll guide you through a variety of restorative yoga postures, inviting you to use your breath to soften and release tension in your body, while using props to support you. To deepen your relaxation, I'll surround you with the meditative, vibrational sounds of a sound bath, bringing a sense of calm and balance to your body, mind, and spirit. $35
Summer Solstice Lakeside Yoga & Sound Journey, Saturday, June 21, 6:30-8pm
Join me as we take our yoga practice outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of nature, among the trees, on the shore of a peaceful, crystal clear lake, celebrating the Summer Solstice and balancing our Earth Element, the element associated with the Solstice. We'll incorporate Energy Medicine Yoga (EMYoga) techniques, bringing balance to our Earth Element, while intertwining traditional yoga postures, tuning into nature and ourselves, celebrating all the beauty that is within and around us. After the session, you are welcome to stay for light refreshments and sunset gazing. I look forward to sharing this beautiful space and practice with you.
I have a limited number of yoga mats available to use. Please bring a blanket and pillow and anything else you would like to bring for comfort during your practice and Sound Journey. $45

This is a private session of yoga (customized for you), a meditative, relaxing sound bath, and a soothing Eco-fin moisturizing foot and hand treatment and massage.

Private Group Sessions
I offer private group yoga sessions, sound journey sessions, or a combination of yoga and sound journey. Please reach out to me for pricing, any questions you may have, or to book your group session! This is a great way to spend time and connect with family, friends, or co-workers in a fun and relaxing environment.
Grief Yoga®️
Grief Yoga®️ blends a variety of yoga styles, using movement, breath, and sound to help process grief. By being in the present moment and bringing awareness to our bodies and where we hold pain, we can begin to reconnect to love and the gift of life.
Energy Medicine Yoga®️
Energy Medicine Yoga®️ integrates classic yoga postures with ancient traditional healing modalities including working with the meridian system, tapping, self-massage, holds to calm and regulate the body’s stress responses, and much more. This works to balance the body’s energy systems, activating its natural healing intelligence.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga postures are held for 3-5 minutes and focus on stretching connective tissue such as ligaments, joints, and fascia. Stretching our connective tissue can help with mobility, flexibility, and unblocking our body’s energy centers to allow our energy to flow more freely.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga postures are held for 5-10 minutes and focus on bringing the body into complete relaxation with the use of props to help support the body. This practice can help with stress relief, lowering anxiety, improved sleep quality, calming the nervous system, and so much more.
Class Schedule




The Call Within-Finding Purpose and Sparking Transformation is a co-authored creation about healing, transformation, and finding purpose. I'm one of 52 authors who share a chapter of their life to help inspire and bring light to a world in need of healing.
The release date, January 4, 2025, aligns with the start of the new year-a time of renewal and new beginnings. A time of year for reflection and to set intentions for the coming year. The Call Within reminds us that healing and growth often come from unexpected places.
